Profile

Frank Potts is a founding partner of Lindsay Kenney LLP and is Solicitor of Record for the firm.

Frank is senior partner of our Vancouver General Litigation group and acts for individual, corporate and union clients. He maintains a practice in commercial fraud litigation, both in defending against fraudulent claims and in recovering funds obtained fraudulently. He is currently Special Counsel to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia in the prosecution of plaintiff's claims on the Corporation's behalf. Frank also acts for corporate and union clients in commercial, insolvency, employment, pension fund and related matters. He is experienced at all levels of court, up to and including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Frank has taught civil litigation and criminal law at Simon Fraser University as well as at Capilano, Douglas and Fraser Valley Colleges. He has been a seminar speaker and guest lecturer for various government and professional organizations, including the Justice Institute, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Continuing Legal Education Society, Professional Legal Training Course, British Columbia Association of Legal Assistants, Fire Commissioner's Office, Canadian Insurance Professionals of Vancouver, British Columbia Insurance Adjusters Association and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

Frank was born in Calgary, Alberta and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours First Class) in 1974 from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Laws in 1977 from the University of British Columbia. He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1978.
