John Arnesen joined Lindsay Kenney LLP in 1988 and is a partner of the firm working out of the Vancouver office. His area of practice is primarily general insurance litigation. His clients include professional liability insurers, general liability insurers and property insurers. John provides advice and legal opinion on professional liability, insurance coverage, general liability and property issues. He is also retained directly by professionals facing disciplinary complaints. John acts in the defence of claims concerning professional liability, dental and healthcare malpractice, errors and omissions, personal injury, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, fire losses, occupiers liability, fidelity bonds, defamation and human rights complaints.
John was born and raised in British Columbia. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) degree in 1982 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1988, both from the University of British Columbia, and was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1989.

Abstract: Late in the night of January 18, 1994, Mr. and Mrs. Whiten discovered that their home was on fire. Along with their daughter, they escaped into the cold Ontario night. They saved only the nightclothes they were wearing; their home and all its contents were totally destroyed.
