Trevor Fowler is a partner who works primarily at our Langley office as a general litigator. Trevor provides legal services related to family law, estate disputes, personal injury/wrongful death claims and commercial litigation including shareholder disputes and foreclosures. His clients include individuals, families and corporations. He has represented clients at all levels of court in the Province of British Columbia, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and has experience in alternate forms of dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration.
While some clients have no alternative to involvement in the court process, Trevor also regularly assists those wanting to manage and control "developing disputes" prior to the commencement of court proceedings. The result can be resolution without the need for court intervention, or at least effective management of the issues to minimize the later cost of litigation. Planning is effective for all potential court matters, particularly family, business and estate/inheritance issues.
Trevor obtained a Bachelor of Science (Biology) in 1990 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1993. His focus outside of the office is on his family. His children love to travel and are active in sports including ice-hockey and swimming. In addition to his family commitments, he is an active community member. His contributions include being a Director of the Langley Children's Society and the Surrey Beavers Athletic Association Rugby Club (President, Vice-President and Treasurer). In the past he has volunteered extensive time for the Big Brothers Association, the Manulife Ride for Heart, and the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay which benefits children's charities. When he has a spare moment to himself his interests include motorcycles, marine biology and sports, particularly rugby and hockey.
