What you can expect:
We are seeking a skilled Corporate Paralegal to join our team in our Langley office. This role requires an individual who is organized, effective at multi-tasking and detail oriented, with strong communication and people skills. Depending on experience and knowledge, the core responsibilities of the role will be, but not limited to:
- Drafting corporate legal documentation including incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, dissolutions, corporate and tax reorganizations, various share transactions, extra provincial registrations, various types of dividend transactions, name changes, restorations and other documents as required
- Conducting minute book reviews and fixing deficiencies as required
- Preparing closing agendas
- Corresponding with lawyers and clients to receive and confirm instructions
- Mentoring, training and coaching Corporate Services staff members
- Other administrative duties as required
What you bring to the table:
- Minimum 5 years’ of experience as a Paralegal in a busy corporate practice
- A Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Understanding of BC Online, ALF, Outlook and Word
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
While compensation is commensurate with experience, the base annual salary range for candidates with the required experience is expected to be $80,000 – $103,000.
