What you can expect:

We currently have an opening in our Langley office for a Trust Accounting Clerk. This role requires an individual who is organized, effective at multi-tasking and detail oriented, with strong communication and people skills. Depending on experience and knowledge, the core responsibilities of the role will be, but not limited to:

  • Entering and processing of the Conveyancing Deals in our accounting system, Acumin, in accordance to the Law Society Rules and Firm Policies
  • Posting of the E-Conveyance invoices into the Accounting System and processing of the Trust payment of the invoice
  • Assistance with other Trust Transactions, Trust Reconciliations and Trust Reporting as requested
  • Assistance with other Accounting department duties as requested
  • Assistance to the Conveyancing department with filing discharges and other duties as requested and when available
  • Provide coverage to Trust Accounting Clerk when needed/vacation coverage
  • Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a busy Accounting department, ideally within a professional services firm environment
  • Law firm experience and knowledge of the Law Society rules is a definite asset
  • High attention to detail, problem solving, people skills and works well under pressure in a fast- paced environment
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in independently and in a team environment
