I began working at LK Law in 2006 when my family and I moved back to Vancouver after living in Ottawa for many years. I was encouraged to apply at LK Law by a friend who has now worked here for over 15 years.
Before moving to Ottawa, I worked at a small labour law firm in downtown Vancouver for seven years. When I first started at LK Law, I assisted a partner and two associates in the general litigation department. Although I only had a background in labour law, the lawyers and staff were very helpful in assisting me with the procedures in general litigation and personal injury practice. After about three years, an opportunity presented itself for me to move within our department and work with one of LK Law’s founding partners, Frank Potts. When I approached the lawyers and management about changing positions, they were extremely encouraging and ensured that my transition was a smooth one. I have now worked with Mr. Potts and two associate lawyers for over ten years in the areas of general litigation and plaintiff personal injury.
I feel fortunate to work with the people at LK Law as they understand the challenges of working full time and raising a family. I have made some lifelong friendships and I am grateful for the ongoing opportunities for personal and professional growth.
