I started working at Lindsay Kenney in 1990 in the Corporate Commercial Department of the Vancouver office. I soon realized what a wonderful group of people they are—in fact, that’s the main reason that I have been here for 30 years.
I have always been encouraged by our lawyers to grow, learn and take on more responsibility in my department. I started as a legal secretary and, within four years, was doing paralegal work and heading up our Vancouver Corporate Records department. Living in Surrey and having a family with small children, I have always found the lawyers and management to be very accommodating when it came to scheduling absences and vacation time.
After ten years in the Vancouver office, and as the firm had grown to include a Langley Corporate Records Department, I made the very difficult decision to transfer there. Although I missed my Vancouver co-workers immensely, I knew I had found my new home. I feel very fortunate to be one of the few employees at Lindsay Kenney to have worked in both the Vancouver and Langley law offices for so many years. I have made so many life-long friends here and highly recommend Lindsay Kenney as an employer. Having a career at Lindsay Kenney for 30 years pretty much says it all.
