Dalton Stark is an associate with Lindsay Kenney’s general litigation group and practices primarily in the area of Family law. Dalton assists clients who are seeking to protect their assets when entering into a new relationship or cannot come to an agreement following the breakdown of a relationship. Dalton assists clients with respect to the following issues:
- Asset and debt division;
- Spousal support;
- Child support;
- Child custody and parenting;
- Separation agreements; and
- Marriage/prenuptial agreements.
Dalton received his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. Prior to gaining entrance into law school, Dalton completed 3.5 years towards a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in finance. With his background in business and finance, Dalton is knowledgeable and experienced in general and complicated asset division and support issues. Dalton approaches family law with the firm belief that the best resolution is often found in a favorable and amicable settlement outside of court. When settlement cannot be reached, Dalton is forceful in pursuing a court action to get you what you are entitled to whether it is support, parenting time, or assets division. Dalton has extensive court room experience and is a strong advocate when matters are litigated. He has represented his clients in trials and contested matters in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Dalton has also assisted on files going to the province’s highest court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
When Dalton is not in the office or courthouse, he can be found skiing, playing soccer, or riding motorcycles.
