Trademark and Copyright
A trademark is defined as words, sounds, designs, logos or a combination of these used in association with your goods or services in the marketplace, and serves to distinguish your goods or services from those of others.
Copyrights involve the right to produce or reproduce works, including literary, artistic, dramatic or musical works (or a substantial part of them) in any form.
Our lawyers are registered Trademark Agents. They have advised and acted for clients in matters involving trademarks and copyrights, including advising on and preparing registrations; opposing registrations; making submissions to the Canadian Intellectual Property Office, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal; and prosecuting infringement claims.
