Farshad Sarmad is a corporate and commercial lawyer advising businesses and individuals on a broad range of transactional and advisory matters.
His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, real estate, and lending. Farshad regularly assists clients with incorporations, share and asset transactions, commercial agreements, financings, and corporate governance. He is known for delivering clear, practical advice that aligns with his clients’ business objectives and supports efficient, well-structured outcomes.
Prior to practicing law, Farshad spent over 15 years in business consulting, product development, and strategic management. This experience provides him with a strong commercial perspective and allows him to approach legal matters with a focus on risk management, operational realities, and long-term value.
Farshad holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, an MBA in Global Management, a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in International Management, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B., Hons) from Queen Mary University of London.
In addition to his legal practice, Farshad has been a sessional instructor at several universities in Vancouver since 2012, teaching courses in business law, ethics, and business management.
Farshad completed his articles at a well-established British Columbia law firm and is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
