Katrina’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration. She is a senior associate based in our Vancouver office. Katrina works collaboratively with clients as they put their last wills into place and create incapacity plans involving powers of attorney and representation agreements. She advises clients that step into the important role of executor or administrator, guiding them through applications for grant of probate and administration. Katrina’s expertise further includes navigating the committeeship process for families with different-abled family members.
Katrina’s dedication to estate planning and administration law has led her to regularly present and contribute to educational seminars and articles in this field.
Prior to joining LK Law, Katrina first began practicing in the areas of corporate and commercial law, real estate, estate planning, and insurance defence work, and then proceeded to narrow her specialization at a boutique wills and estates law firm.
While attending law school, Katrina gained experience with the UBC Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, a non-profit society that provides pro bono legal advice and representation. To complement her academics, Katrina volunteered as a pro bono legal assistant for Nova Scotia’s Provincial Autism Centre. Most recently, Katrina was an executive committee member of YES! Vancouver, a philanthropic group that fundraised for Dress for Success Vancouver.
Outside of work, Katrina enjoys reading fiction, attending the opera, and experiencing diverse cultures through travelling. Katrina’s love of travelling encouraged her to study commerce abroad in Milan, Italy at the Università Bocconi, and to study law in Lund, Sweden at Lund University.
