Nicole Garton, B.A., LL.B, LL.M., C.Med, FEA, TEP, is a senior counsel in our family and estate planning and litigation groups.
Nicole has advised on all aspects of estate planning and administration, including the preparation of wills, powers of attorney, representation agreements and trusts, as well as applications for probate and letters of administration.
Nicole has also focussed on the restructuring of families resulting from separation and divorce and wills and estate challenges. Nicole is skilled in the use of various collaborative interventions, including mediation and collaborative family law. Nicole has successfully mediated hundreds of family and wills and estates matters, allowing families to move forward in a positive, cost effective and efficient manner.
Nicole is accredited by the Law Society of BC to act as a Family Law Mediator, is a Chartered Mediator and a certified Family Enterprise Advisor. Nicole is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for trusts and estates and family law and is the Past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Wills and Trusts Subsection (Vancouver).
When she is not at work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, their five children and two Spaniels.
